6 Year Molars Coming in at Age 4 – Should I Be Worried?

The majority of children begin to lose their baby teeth at age 6. This transition from baby to permanent teeth typically lasts until they are 12 or 13.

When your child’s 6 year molars come in, you may notice they are a bit uncomfortable. They will likely display the same symptoms they had when they were teething infants. Some of these symptoms include swollen gums, mild fever, and diarrhea.

The good news is that you can ease your child’s symptoms and help them feel better by giving them pain medication, feeding them more liquid foods such as smoothies and mashed bananas, and showing them how to brush their teeth correctly.
