Dr. Shane Costa graduated from the University of Richmond and then received his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree, cum laude, from the Medical College of Virginia. After dental school, he completed a one-year advanced education program in general dentistry at the Baylor College of Dentistry in Dallas, Texas.
Recognized as Northern Virginia’s Top Dentist for the past ten years, Dr. Costa provides high-quality dentistry and beautiful smiles with maximum comfort through meticulous attention to detail. He ensures his patients’ satisfaction and comfort by carefully listening to their needs and thoroughly explaining procedures to them.
With a passion for education, Dr. Costa maintains his award-winning status by continuing to learn new skills and experimenting with new technology.
Dr. Costa and his family are residents of Leesburg, Virginia. He is a devoted member of the Great Falls Community and a proud sponsor of Celebrate Great Falls. He enjoys spending time with his wife, Virginia, and their three wonderful children.

Before going to Costa Dentistry I hadn’t been to a dentist in 2 years. To say I was nervous is an understatement. Iwas immediately put at ease by my hygienist and then by Dr. I was walked thru everything they were going to do and that made all the difference. The front desk staff is also wonderful! It’s a state of the art office. If you’re looking for a new dentist this is the place. 5 stars all the way!

We recently transitioned our kids from pediatric dentistry to Costa and I wish we had done it sooner! We are a family full of anxiety when it comes to going to the dentist, but everyone in this office were pros at keeping us in a calm and happy place! The staff, hygienists and doctors were incredible to work with and I couldn’t be more pleased with the outcome from our visits. Teeth are cleaner & whiter and healthier!
